Owner & Lead Pilates Instructor
I was born in Northampton WA and grew up on a wheat and sheep farm.  As a kid I loved all sorts of sports especially athletics and netball.
My sisters and I used to practice long jump, triple jump and high jump on a sand pit our Dad made for us.  Dad used to make us run
when he was shifting sheep to another paddock, no wonder we were so fit!  I guess that is where my passion for fitness started to take shape.
I did my first Fitness Leader course when I was 18 and became a group fitness instructor & Personal Trainer and kept adding to it continuously and still do.
I have instructed many different styles of group fitness classes including Aqua aerobics, RPM, Jungle Body Konga, circuit classes and of course Pilates which
I have instructed now for over 15 years.  I have now done about 6 different Pilates courses including matwork and reformer, small and large apparatus, fascial stretch
therapy, remedial pilates,
I used to do Remedial massage and trigger point therapy, but my thumbs kept dislocating, so I decided to give that up.  It’s something
I really miss doing so I created Assisted Stretch Therapy so I can have more of a hands-on approach to my clients and physically help them gain
flexibility and mobility.
I worked as a Sports Trainer, Fitness Coach and Exercise Injury Management Specialist for a WAFL footy team south of Perth.  This is where I learnt
so much about injury rehab firsthand from strapping and massage to joint rehab and maintenance.  It was so much fun!
After having my own issues with pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence, I decided to do a Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist course and became
a Pelvic Organ Prolapse therapist and Pelvic Floor Therapist.  I have experienced both firsthand and totally get how challenging rehab can be for your pelvic
floor.  You can’t see it and you’re not really sure you are doing it right either.  I love to help women to rehab their pelvic floor, it’s so rewarding and every
single client is so unique so my approach is different for every client.
I have 2 gorgeous kids, a daughter who has recently finished school and son who isn’t far off finishing.  They have pretty much grown up most of their lives in the Pilbara.
My husband and I moved our family from Tom Price to Karratha and we have been here now for nearly 10 years!  Man time flies!
I have instructed classes at various locations in Karratha when we first moved here.  I finally got the courage to open my very own commercial studio in 2019!
Man I was so proud of this and scared to death.  I moved location over a year ago now and am super stoked with how it’s all panned out so far.   I have also added
White Tiger Qigong to our class timetable.  This class is so outside the box for me seeing it’s not Pilates but I’m so glad I did the course, it has been mind blowing.  It was the
starting point for me to learn more about the bodies meridians, the fascia and lymphatic drainage.  I have headed down a huge rabbit hole of everything Lymphatic
drainage too!  I love this stuff and learning how to do it on myself has been the best thing.  Keep an eye out for future workshops, I’ve got some things in the pipeline.
Well, that is pretty much me in a nutshell.  I am super passionate about helping people feel comfortable in their own bodies and welcoming them into our lovely
Pilates community.  It’s like exercising with a bunch of new mates and I absolutely love it.  I love seeing clients get stronger and developing their Pilates repertoire at
each class or session.  Everyone is welcome!  You don’t have to be flexible or fit before you start Pilates.  You can start any time and we will work together to achieve
your goals.
